Al-Sadd conclude preparations ahead of Umm Salal game

The Al-Sadd football first team held its final training session on Saturday, ahead of the upcoming QNB Stars League Round 8 clash against Umm Salal, which will be played in Sunday evening at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.

In addition to physical training, the coaching staff also made the players work on light technical drills before moving on to a small-sided practice game.

At the end of the session, head coach Jesualdo Ferreira announced the 18-man squad for the game: Saad Al-Dsoari, Meshaal Barshim, Musab Kheder, Hussain Bahzad, Hassan Al-Haydos, Meshaal Al-Shammari, Ahmed Sohail, Yasser Abubakar, Hassan Ahmed, Jugurtha Hamroun, Xavi Hernandez, Ahmed Bader Sayyar, Baghdad Bounedjah, Morteza Pouraliganji, Abdulaziz Al-Jalabi, Ayoob Mashhoor, Fahad Shanin, Ali Asad.

Later, the squad left for a closed camp at the Westin hotel, from where they will depart for the match on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Al-Sadd’s Pedro Miguel and Salem Al Hajri have both been ruled out of the game against Umm Salal due to injury while Khoukhi Boualem will also miss the game as he is not match fit.

The squad announcement witnessed the return of Xavi Hernandez and Jugurtha Hamroun after they had missed the team’s last game against Al-Ahli.
