Al-Haydos returns while Xavi, Lee and Saad miss out

Al-Sadd football team head coach Jesualdo Ferreira announced on Saturday night the squad which will face Umm Salal in the QSL Round 15 match. The match is set to kick off at 4:15 PM on Sunday at the Hamad bin Khalifa Stadium.

The 18-man squad is as follows: Meshaal Barsham, Steven Tedga, Ibrahim Majid, Mohammed Kasola, Nadir Belhadj, Khalfan Ibrahim, Nasser Ibrahim, Gaser Yahya, Talal al-Baloushi, Hamza al-Sanhaji, Muriqui, Abdulrahman Nasser, Meshaal al-Shammari, Ali Faydh, Abdulhadi Numan, Hassan al-Haydos, Hamad Mansour, Saleh Bader.

Xavi Hernandez and Lee Jung Soo all missed out due to injury while four players (Abdulkareem Hassan, Musab Khodr, Muhannad Naim, Ali Asad) are absent as they are away with the Qatar Olympic team. Goalkeeper Saad al-Dosari also got injured and was replaced by youth team keeper Meshaal Barsham.

The coaching staff put in place the physical training programme during the practice session on Saturday night. There was also some light technical training. After the session, the team left for the closed camp at the Grand Heritage, where they will stay until the time of departure for the match.
