Al-Haydos: I accept fate; I will return stronger
Al-Sadd forward Hassan Al-Haydos spoke of his satisfaction after it was confirmed that he had to undergo a surgery in Germany for a hernia injury.
Speaking to the club website before his travel, Al-Haydos said: “This is how football is; every player suffers injuries. Alhamdulillah. This injury came at a crucial time, with the team facing important matches in the league amidst a tough schedule at the start of the second phase.”
He added: “I suffered the injury in the game against Muaither in Round 4 of the league. It ruled me out of the matches against Al-Gharafa and Al-Shahaniya. I managed to return after undergoing the recovery before playing for Qatar against China. However, with the increase in number of matches in November and December and after a medical test, the management decided that I should undergo surgery at this time.”
Al-Haydos also said: “I will return to Doha on Sunday and I will immediately begin my recuperation phase which could take up to 3-4 weeks before being able to play in matches for the Wolves.” He added that he would do all he could to return strongly and join the team for the match against Esteghlal in the AFC Champions League playoff.
The Qatari star then spoke about his confidence in the team: “I have a lot of confidence in the players; they can give their best in the coming matches, compete strongly for the top spot and go on to complete the journey towards the QSL title. We are fighting hard for it this season, especially with the good performance the team has shown recently before the break.”
He went on to conclude by expressing his confidence in his own ability to return strongly after the recovery period and rejoin the Wolves who are gunning to win all title this season.
