Akram Afif takes part in Al-Sadd training
The Al-Sadd football first team continued with routine training on Sunday, as part of its preparation for the upcoming QNB Stars League Round 16 game against Al-Rayyan.
Al-Sadd won their last league game against Qatar SC by a 3-1 scoreline on Saturday, thereby regaining second spot in the league table.
Afif trains for the first time
Sunday’s training session saw the first participation of new signing Akram Afif, who joined the club from Villarreal on loan during the winter transfer window.
The players who took part in the game against Qatar SC were made to undergo recovery training, in order to get rid of fatigue. As for the other players, they worked on technical drills.
Salem rejoins training
Meanwhile, midfielder Salem Al-Hajri rejoined group training after the end of his break which was given following his participation with the Qatar U23 team at the AFC U23 Championship in China.
Abdelkarim undergoes medical test
Full back Abdelkarim Hassan underwent a medical examination, under the supervision of the club’s medical staff, and was deemed fit to train with the first team on Sunday. This followed his forced substitution during the game against Qatar SC due to injury.
