AFC medical committee delegation visits Al-Sadd
A delegation from the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Medical Committee visited Al-Sadd Club on to view the first team and age group teams’ medical facilities, in addition to watching Thursday evening’s training session.
The visit comes as part of the AFC’s partnership programme for medical committees which is being held in association with the Aspetar Sports Medicine Hospital.
The programme is being held in Doha for 8 days after which the second phase will be for 5 days in Malaysia. It will include an anti-doping round.
The AFC delegation included Dr. Ahmed bin Mahfouz from Saudi Arabia (doctor of the Saudi U-16 team), Dr. Siva from Malaysia (physiotherapist for the Malaysian national football), and Dr. Marco of the Philippines (team doctor of the Philippines national team).
Al-Sadd first team doctor Dr. Mohammad Soltani was keen to provide all necessary support to the medical committee while they inspected the club’s facilities and watched how the first team players were treated.
