AFC Champions League: Al-Sadd step up preparations ahead of semifinal clash

The Al-Sadd football first team stepped up their preparations ahead of the upcoming AFC Champions League semifinal clash with Persepolis, with another intense training session on Saturday at the club’s main stadium.

Head coach Jesualdo Ferreira focused on tactics during the session, which saw the team work hard on offensive and defensive strategies, while also practising quick one-touch play.

In the second half of the training session, Ferreira held a mini practice game, during which the focus was on the players’ movement. Later, some of the players worked on shooting practice.

Earlier in the day, the team had spent 20 minutes working on strengthening their muscles, as per the training programme laid out by the coaching staff.

The next session will be held on Sunday evening, with mediapersons set to attend as part of the coverage of the team’s preparations for the big game.
