​Former Barcelona footballer Eric Abidal attended the Al-Sadd football team training session on Tuesday evening. The Frenchman watched the team prepare for its upcoming Qatar Stars League match against Al-Ahli on Thursday.

Abidal was welcomed by the stars of Al-Sadd, led by his former teammate Xavi, Nadir Belhadj, Talal al-Baloushi and many other players. The players took photos with the former French defender.
