Abdelkarim remains out of action, Al-Sadd prepare for Al-Ahli
The Al-Sadd football first team held their main training session on Tuesday evening, as part of the preparations for the upcoming QNB Stars League Round 21 game against Al-Ahli, which will be played on Thursday at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.
Al-Sadd will go into the game with a tally of 51 points, with the chance of clinching the league title if they defeat Al-Ahli. On the other hand, Al-Ahli are in fifth place, with 33 points. The first phase match between the two sides ended in a 4-2 win for Al-Ahli.
The Al-Sadd coaching staff, led by head coach Jesualdo Ferreira used Tuesday’s session to choose their options for the starting lineup, ahead of the decisive game which could clinch the elusive league title.
The coaching staff also implemented certain attacking strategies and worked on the movement of the players, before going on to hold a practice mini game.
Meanwhile, Al-Sadd left-back Abdelkarim Hassan was ruled out of the game as he has not recovered full fitness following a knock he picked up in the game against Al-Sailiya.
The pre-match press conference for the game will be held from 5 PM on Wednesday, with Ferreira and Salem Al-Hajri representing Al-Sadd.
