Abdelkarim Hassan: We seek a positive result

Al-Sadd full-back Abdelkarim Hassan described his side’s upcoming clash against Esteghlal in the AFC Champions League as a tough match which he is looking forward to.

“This is a tough and crucial match for Al-Sadd in the AFC Champions League. Esteghlal are the ones who knocked us on two years ago and this match will be a chance for us to get a positive result before the second leg in Doha.”

As for the pressure put on the players by the fans, Abdelkarim said: “The fans are part of the footballing atmosphere. You have to enjoy that. I don’t think we will be pressured by the crowd. It will be good for us.”

He concluded: “The match will be intense and exciting. The Al-Sadd players have enough experience and confidence to peform well.”
