Abdelkarim Hassan: Al-Sadd are ready for the clash with Al-Gharafa, I learnt a lot in Belgium

Al-Sadd full-back Abdelkarim Hassan spoke of the team’s readiness ahead of the upcoming clash with Al-Gharafa in the QNB Stars League.

Speaking to the media at the pre-match press conference, Abdelkarim said: “Al-Gharafa have strengthened their team with good signings. Playing them will be difficult. But Al-Sadd are competing for the title and we must win in order to close the gap with Al-Duhail at the top. I hope it will be a beautfiul game.”

The Al-Sadd star added: “The performance against Al-Sailiya bodes well for the team after we suffered in the first phase with injuries and suspensions. Al-Sadd are capable of giving their best in the upcoming challenges, especially after being provided with enough players.”

Asked to rate his experience playing abroad, Abdelkarim said: “My time with Belgian team Eupen did not suit my ambitions. The (Al-Sadd) management requested me to return to support the team in the upcoming Asian matches. The period was successful for me in terms of gaining significant experience, which I have benefited from. I hope I can repeat that again next season.”
