8 Al-Sadd players called up to Qatar squad

Qatar national team head coach Jorge Fossati has announced the squad which will play against Russia and China in the coming weeks. The national team will first play Russia in a friendly in Doha on the 10th of November before flying out to face China away in the 2018 World Cup qualifier on November 15.

The squad consists of 8 players from Al-Sadd: Saad Al-Dosari, Mohammed Kasola, Ibrahim Majid, Pedro Miguel, Salem Al-Hajri, Ali Asad, Hassan Al-Haydos, Hamed Ismail.

Abdelkarim Hassan missed out on the squad following the decision by the FIFA disciplinary committee to suspend him for three matches based on the events during the game between Qatar and Iran in the 2018 World Cup qualifier in September.

The squad will begin training on Friday at the National Teams Grounds at the Aspire Academy ahead of the game against Russia on November 10.
