2020 AFC Champions League: Al-Sadd drawn into Group D

The group stage draw for the 2020 AFC Champions League was held at the AFC headuquarters in Kuala Lumpur today morning, with Al-Sadd being represented at the ceremony by media officer Ahmed Al Ansari and first team officer Mohammed Saeed.

Al-Sadd have been placed in Group D, alongside Sepahan (Iran) , Al-Nassr (Saudi Arabia) and the winner from Playoff 1, which will be played between Al-Ain (UAE) and the winner of the match between Bunyodkor (Uzbekistan) and Al-Zawraa (Iraq).

At the 2019 edition of the tournament, Al-Sadd reached the semifinals before losing to Al-Hilal of Saudi Arabia.
