Jafal Rashed, Al-Sadd Deputy Head of Football, has spoken of his great happiness with the important and well-deserved 2-1 win that the team achieved over Al-Rayyan in the QSL Round 12 match played at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium on Thursday.
Speaking to the club website following the match, Jafal said: “We congratulate the Wolves and all Saddawis on this occasion of this crucial and difficult win over the league leaders who had not lost a single match so far. Al-Sadd players put a up a brilliant performance and they are always up to the task in tough matches.”
The Deputy Head of Football added: “Al-Sadd does not get diseased and does not die. What the Wolves showed in this match was a great signal of the ability of the team to return strongly, not just in the Clasico only but also in the title race, especially as there is a second phase still remaining to be played. It will witness a lot of changes with the winter transfer window as every team will look to make amends and refresh their ranks.”
Jafal concluded his words by saying: “I congratulate all the Al-Sadd players for their effort and performance in this match and getting a valuable and deserved win,” while also stressing that Al-Rayyan played well against Al-Sadd.
