Khalfan ruled out of Muaither clash
The Al-Sadd football first team concluded on Thursday evening its preparations for the QSL Round 4 game against Muaither. The game is set to kick off at 5:30 PM on Friday at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.
The Wolves go into the match sitting in third place in the league table with 7 points from three games, following wins over Al-Kharaitiyat and Al-Ahli and then a draw with Lekhwiya. Muaither are currently in the 14th position with no points so far.
The final training session on Thursday began at 5:30 PM and saw the players undergo the physical training and practice routine, in addition to some technical drills.
At the end of the session, head coach Jesualdo Ferreira announced the 18-man squad for the game.
The squad consists of Saad Al-Dosari, Muhannad Naim, Hamed Ismail, Musab Kheder, Hassan Al-Haydos, Ali Asad, Hossam Kamal, Morteza Pouraliganji, Pedro Miguel, Xavi, Jugurtha Hamroun, Baghdad Bounedjah, Gaser Yahya, Salem Al-Hajri, Ayoob Mashhoor, Mohammed Kasola, Abdelkarim Hassan, Ibrahim Majid.
The team then left for a closed camp at the Movenpick Hotel, where they will stay until departing for the stadium on Friday.
Knee injury rules out Khalfan
The squad announcement saw the absence of Khalfan Ibrahim, who was ruled out of contention by a knee injury suffered during training on Thursday.
