Khalfan, Ibrahim and Abdulaziz ruled out of Al-Ahli match

Al-Sadd star Khalfan Ibrahim has been ruled out of the QSL Round 2 game against Al-Ahli, which is scheduled to be played on Friday at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.

Khalfan injured his ankle in training on Wednesday and was not named in the matchday squad.

Also absent from the squad are Ibrahim Majid and Abdulaziz Al-Ansari, who are down with influenza. Meanwhile, Hamed Ismail made the squad for the first time after reaching full fitness.

The team held the final training session from 6 PM on Thursday and the coaches focused on light technical drills. Later, the head coach Jesualdo Ferreira announced the 18-man squad.

The squad consists of Saad Al-Dosari, Mohammed Izzeldin, Hamed Ismail, Musab Khodr, Gaser Yahya, Hassan Al-Haydos, Ali Asad, Hossam Kamal, Morteza Pouraliganji, Pedro Miguel, Xavi, Jugurtha Hamroun, Baghdad Bounedjah, Meshaal Al-Shammari, Salem Al-Hajri, Abdulaziz Al-Jalabi, Mohammed Kasola and Ahmed Sohail.
