Al-Sadd to begin preparations for the 2017-18 season on Saturday

Al-Sadd will begin its preparations for the 2017-18 season on Saturday evening with the first team players assembling in Doha for a training session.

The team will undergo physical and technical training in Doha before the final squad for the Austrian preseason camp is announced.

The Wolves will then leave for Austria for the preseason camp that will be held between July 20 and August 5. Al-Sadd are scheduled to play three friendlies during the camp; the opponents will be annonced soon. The friendly matches will be held on July 26, July 30 and August 3.

During their time in Austria, the team will be based in the Bad Häring region, close to the city of Wörgl on the Austria-Germany border. This is the first time that Al-Sadd are training in this region. The city is only 45 minutes away from Munich and is situated in a mountainous region. The squad will stay at the Hotel Das Sieben for the duration of the camp.

Al-Sadd finished the 2016-17 Qatar Stars League season in 2nd place with 61 points. The team then went on to win the Qatar Cup for the first time before adding their 16th Emir Cup title.
