Al-Sadd begin preparations for Al-Gharafa, honour Abdelkarim

The Al-Sadd football first team resumed training on Friday, without a rest after Thursday’s 2-1 win over Al-Khor in the QNB Stars League.

The team is now preparing for the upcoming Round 14 game against Al-Gharafa, which will be played at the Thani bin Jassim Stadium on Sunday.

While the players who had appeared against Al-Khor underwent recovery training, the rest of the team went through physical and technical training.

Al-Sadd are now scheduled to hold the main training session on Friday, which will see the coaching staff make their decisions on the starting line-up as the team looks to keep the winning run going in a congested fixture schedule.

Friday’s session also saw the team honour full-back Abdelkarim Hassan, who was crowned as Asia’s Player of the Year at the AFC Annual Awards ceremony in Muscat yesterday.
