AFC Champions League: Al-Sadd hold main training session ahead of Pakhtakor clash

Al-Sadd held their main training session from 6:15 PM onwards on Saturday at the club’s main pitch, ahead of the upcoming AFC Champions League clash against Pakhtakor.

The Wolves go into the game with a tally of four points, after losing their first game 1-2 away to Al-Ahli, before defeating Persepolis 1-0 at home and then drawing 2-2 with Pakhtakor in Tashkent in the final round.

Head coach Jesualdo Ferreira and his staff worked on selecting their best options for the starting XI, keeping in mind the absence of Pedro and Akram Afif due to suspension.

Ferreira focused on correcting errors in the players’ movement and penetration from deep and the wings, intervening on multiple occasions during the practice mini games.

Before the start of the session, the coach had met with the players to speak with them about the objectives from the game.

Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that Ferreira and Hamid Ismail will represent Al-Sadd at the pre-match press conference which is set to be held from 5 PM onwards on Sunday at the Al-Sadd conference hall.
