Amir’s Cup: Al-Sadd to begin campaign from quarterfinals

The draw for the season-ending 47th Amir’s Cup was held at the Kempinski Hotel on Monday afternoon, in the presence of representatives from 16 teams and a number of QFA officials.

Prominent officials in attendance included QFA president HE Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Thani, AFC vice-president Saoud Al-Muhannadi, QFA executive committee members Ahmed Al-Boenain and Hani Ballan, QFA general secretary Mansour Al-Ansari and QFA head of competitions Hamad Al-Mannai.

The clubs were accorded places in the draw based on their positions in the QNB Stars League and the second division league.

Al-Sadd start their campaign from the quarter-final stage where they will play the winner of the game between Al-Gharafa and Al-Khor/Al-Wakrah.
