Mohammed Gholam: This is an important win but we still have a long way to go

Al-Sadd sporting director Mohammed Gholam Al-Baloushi expressed his delight after the team defeat Al-Duhail 3-1 to go top of the QNB Stars League table.

Speaking after the game, he said: “It was a really difficult game. The players put up a satisfactory performance but we wanted to be better. We managed to get three important points, putting us on top of the table until the resumption of the league after the Asian Cup.”

The sporting director added: “This is an important win and three valuable points but the league campaign still has a long way to go and we need to work hard to keep the top spot until the end of the league.”
