Al-Sadd intensify preparations ahead of Al-Arabi clash

The Al-Sadd football first team intensified their preparations ahead of the upcoming QNB Stars League Round 1 clash against Al-Arabi, which will be played on Sunday at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.

On Thursday, the team trained at the club’s training facility from 6:30 PM onwards, with head coach Jesualdo Ferreira supervising the session. The players were in great spirits after the morale-boosting 6-0 win over Al-Kharaitiyat in the opening round.

Thursday’s session saw the coaching staff work on improving the team’s counter attacking strategies and transitions, something which Ferreira has focused on recently.

Ferreira also focused on the midfield and the players’ ability to retain posession for long spells, in addition to moving the ball quickly from defence to attack. Towards the end of the session, the coaches also worked on crosses.

Earlier, Ferreira met with the players in the centre circle, before the start of the session, to speak with them about the important talking points of the upcoming game which is set to be a crucial one for the Wolves.
