Ali Ferydoon: Al-Sadd are two-time Asian champions, our goal against Al Wasl is three points

Al-Sadd striker Ali Ferydoon was of the opinion that his side’s upcoming AFC Champions League game against Al Wask will be a crucial fixture.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference in Dubai, Ferydoon said: “We are ready for this match. The players will look to win. Our goal is to return with three points, especially as Al-Sadd are two-time champions.”

“I joined the team during the winter transfer window. I hope I can get in sync with the rest of the players in order to add to the team,” said Ferydoon.

Asked about the presence of Xavi in the Al-Sadd team, Ferydoon said: “Xavi is an excellent leader and a role model for all the players. He has lots of experience and everyone benefits from that. He never lets us down in leading us to victories.”

Ferydoon went on to conclude by saying: “As I mentioned earlier, Al-Sadd are ready for this match. We will look to give all we have in order to get a positive result and make our fans happy.”
