Salem Al-Hajri: Defeating Al-Rayyan makes us players happy

Al-Sadd midfielder Salem Al-Hajri said that defeating Al-Rayyan in the Qatar Clasico made him and his teammates very happy.

Speaking after the match, Al-Hajri said: “We wish to congratulate the fans, the coaching staff and the management. The Al-Sadd fans were the number one support for us in the match. We will work hard to make them happy by winning the league.”

He added: “Defeating Al-Rayyan makes us players happy but we have closed this chapter quickly, in order to prepare for the upcoming match in the AFC Champions League. This is a tournament that we are going to compete in with a lot of focus because we are returning to it after an absence of two years and it’s our favourite tournament.”
