Al-Sadd defeat Umm Salal 5-2 in U23 league

The Al-Sadd U23 team defeated Umm Salal 5-2 in the QatarGas U23 League Round 2 match which was played on Monday at the Thani bin Jassim Stadium.

The result means that Al-Sadd now have four points from two games, after the 3-3 draw with Qatar SC in the opening round.

Meshaal Al-Shammari opened the scoring for Al-Sadd in the 9th minute before the forward added a second goal in the 24th minute. Khaled Al Abdullah reduced the deficit in the 26th minute for Umm Salal. Jassim Al Shammari then scored Al-Sadd’s third goal in the 32nd minute to give his team a 3-1 lead at halftime.

In the second half, Umm Salal’s Ali Mohammed scored from the penalty spot in the 58th minute to make it 3-2 before Ayoob Mashhoor put the match beyond doubt for Al-Sadd with two goals in the 66th and 87th minute.
