Hamza Al-Sanhaji: Preparatory match for Qatar Cup

Al-Sadd striker Hamza Al-Sanhaji spoke of his side’s upcoming match against El-Jaish, saying that the team is “looking to end the season on a good note.”

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Al-Sanhaji said: “We need to win the last league match in order to end on a good note. We have closed the chapter of the league and now we need to work on winning it in the next season.”

Al-Sanhaji went on to add: “El-Jaish have excellent players. The merger of Lekhwiya and El-Jaish will be a loss for the league. The officials obviously know the reasons behind this merger and why it will be good for Qatari football.”

As for Al-Sadd missing out on silverware, he said: “We need luck to win titles. We always go top of the league only to lose the title in the last few minutes. The match against El-Jaish will be a preparatory match for Qatar Cup. We will give the best of what we have in order to end the league with a win.”
