Al-Sadd hold main training session ahead of Al-Shahaniya game
Al-Sadd football first team held its main training session on Tuesday evening at the club’s training pitch as part of the preparations for the upcoming QSL Round 19 game against Al-Shahaniya. The game is set to kick off at 4:35 PM on Thursday at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.
Al-Sadd go into the match sitting in second place in the league table with 43 points after having defeated Al-Gharafa 3-0 in their last league match. As for Al-Shahaniya, they are in 12th place with 15 points and drew their last game 0-0 with Al-Sailiya. In the last meeting between the two teams, Al-Sadd defeated Al-Shahaniya 4-0.
During Sunday’s session, the coaching staff focused on deciding their preferred lineup for the gamem against Al-Shahaniya. Head coach Jesualdo Ferreira held a practice match between the players after the end of the warmup routine.
Returning trio impress
The trio of Khalfan Ibrahim, Hassan Al-Haydos and Morteza Pouraliganji impressed on their return to training after being out with injury.
Intense training for the keepers
The Al-Sadd goalkeepers went through an intense session with physical and technical training under the supervision of goalkeeping coach Nando Scarpello who prioritised movement exercises in the box, alongside drills for speed and reflexes.
Final session and squad announcement
The final training session before the game will be held on Wednesday evening from 6 PM at the training pitch, after which the head coach will announce the matchday squad.
