Hamroun: Happy with my improvement; we aim to defeat Al-Rayyan

Al-Sadd’s Algerian winger Jugurtha Hamroun has reiterated the importance of the upcoming game against Al-Rayyan in Round 10 of the Qatar Stars League, which is set to be played on Wednesday at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Hamroun said: “It is match that differs from the normal matches but for us, we are going to play it as we do in all the other matches. We will focus on the performance of our team to give our best and get the points.”

He went on to add: “Getting in sync with the team was very easy for me. The understanding with Bounedjah came as a result of the understanding with the rest of my teammates too. We are preparing seriously for this match, which will be a crucial match in our campaign. It’s true, we know Al-Rayyan well and they have excellent players but Al-Sadd too have the best of players, who are capable of giving their best in every game.”

As for the competition for the league title, Hamroun said: “We respect all the teams but Al-Sadd has the players and the capabilites to win the title. As for my performance since the beginning of the season, I have sat down with the coaching staff who informed me that my performance is continously improving. This makes me happy and I know fully well that I have to improve a lot further and I promise everyone that I will do that.”

Hamroun went on to conclude by saying: “We are preparing hard for Al-Rayyan. Our goal from the beginning is to get the win and the three points to add to our league campaign, and get closer to the top spot.”
