Ibrahim Majid: Happy with the result; please excuse the players
Al-Sadd defender Ibrahim Majid spoke to the media after the 4-0 victory over Al-Shahaniya and expressed his happiness with the result, stating that Al-Sadd’s performance made them deserve the result.
Ibrahim told Al-Kass Channel: “I am happy with the win, which came after the draw with Al-Gharafa in which we lost two points in the title race. Returning to winning ways tonight will be a big boost for the players to give their best in the coming matches.”
As for the absence of Khalfan Ibrahim and Hassan Al-Haydos, Ibrahim said: “Of course, their absence has an effect, especially as they are big players in the team with a big role in our victories. Their absences are because of injuries and the huge amount of pressure on the players who have to play for the club and the country. I wish them a speedy recovery.”
He went on to add: “Al-Sadd players, especially the local players, are under huge pressure as most of the teams who are competing with Al-Sadd have many foreign players. This puts the Al-Sadd players under pressure. I hope everyone, especially the Al-Sadd fans, gives them an excuse and stands by them.”
Ibrahim concluded by saying: “The competition is tough this season but the Al-Sadd players are capable of enduring and giving their best to compete for all titles.”
