Al-Sadd delegation set to leave for Austria for training camp
The Al-Sadd football first team delegation will leave for Austria at 1 AM on Saturday, to hold their preseason training camp in the city of Kaprun. Held as part of the preparations for the new 2016/17 season, the camp will run from the 16th of July and will last until the 31st of the same month.
The flight carrying the Al-Sadd delegation will fly to Munich, from where the team will move on to Kaprun.
The delegation consists of management officials and coaching staff, in addition to the following 21 players: Muhannad Naim, Saad Al-Dosari, Mohammed Ezzeldin, Gaser Yahya, Mohammed Kasola, Ayoob Mashhoor, Meshaal Qasim, Hassan Al-Haydos, Khalfan Ibrahim, Ali Asad, Abdelkarim Hassan, Ibrahim Majid, Hossam Kamal, Salem Al-Hajri, Abdulaziz Bakheet, Morteza Pouraliganji, Abdulaziz Al-Jalabi, Xavi Hernandez, Pedro Miguel, Ghassan Wahid, Ahmed Sohail.
Sporting director Mohammed Gholam, first team manager Abdullah Al-Breik, media officer and website manager Ahmed Al-Ansari, first team officer Mohammed Saeed, assistant coach Hisham Zahid, physiotherapist Joao Marcos and goalkeeping coach Fernando Scarpello will accompany the team. They will be joined in Austria by head coach Jesualdo Ferreira, his assistant Nuno Almeida, fitness coach Jose Pedro and technical analyst Pedro Rubsa.
The delegation will also include first team doctor Mohammed Soltani, recovery specialist Akram Obaid, masseurs Ritchie and Admir, website reporter Sameer Showqy, videographer Mina Faiz and taskmen Yaris Miah, Musa Butan and Abdulkarim Abdulmalik.
The team management had earlier decided, in coordination with Jesualdo Ferreira, to hold the training camp in Kaprun for the sixth straight season. The team is set to play two friendlies during the camp.
The first friendly match will be against Gaziantepspor on 26th July, followed by the second match on 29th July against either Al-Ain or a German team.
The Al-Sadd delegation will once again be staying at the Tauern Spa Hotel, which is situated at the Austrian-German border.
