Al-Sadd to start preseason training on Sunday

The Al-Sadd first and reserve football teams will begin their preparations on Sunday, 10th July, ahead of the 2016/17 season. The players will get together at the training ground at 6 PM.

The Wolves will begin training in Doha under the stewardship of the assistants of head coach Jesualdo Ferreira before leaving for the foreign training camp in Kaprun, Austria on Friday, 15th July. The team has selected Kaprun as their training base for the sixth straight season. The camp will continue until the 30th of the same month and it will involve two friendly matches. The opponents for these friendlies will determined at the beginning of the camp.

All the Al-Sadd players, including the internationals, will take part in the camp.

After the Kaprun camp, the squad will return to Doha to continue their preparation without the presence of the internationals who will be away with the national team for the World Cup qualifiers.

In August, the Wolves will undergo a ten-day training camp in the Emirati city of Al-Ain. During the camp, which will also be without the internationals, a number of friendlies will be played. Subsequently, the squad will once again return to Doha to conclude the preparations for the start of the league campaign in mid-September.
