Al-Sadd holds main training session to prepare for Umm Salal

​Al-Sadd football first team held on Friday evening its main training session for the QSL Round 15 match against Umm Salal, which is set to kick off at 4:15 PM on Sunday at the Hamad bin Khalifa Stadium.

The Wolves go into the match sitting in fourth place with 27 points and won their last match against Mesaimeer 5-1. As for Umm Salal, they are in sixth with 22 points. The meeting between the two sides in the first phase ended in 2-2 draw. Al-Sadd will look to continue with its winning ways before the league stops for its almost-month long break.

The main training session saw the strong involvement of all those present and the coaching staff looked to pick their options for the starting XI against Umm Salal, keeping in mind the strategy and tactics they will play with. At the end of the session, head coach Jesualdo Ferreira divided the team into two and held a practice scrimmage in the middle of the park, which was an enthusiastic and spirited affair.

Al-Haydos takes part in group training
Hassan al-Haydos returned to full training on Friday and trained with the team after recovering from an ankle injury he sustained in the match against El Jaish in Round 13.

Xavi continues to recuperate
Midfield star Xavi Hernandez continued on his road to recovery and full fitness at the medical clinic of the club, in order to get back to group training after an injury that ruled him out of the last match against Mesaimeer.

Special congratulations to Mohammed Saeed
The coaching staff, the management and the players conveyed their wishes and congratulated first team official Mohammed Saeed on the occasion of the birth of his daughter Nouf.

​Ferreira and Talal to attend press conference
Head coach Jesualdo Ferreria and midfielder Talal al-Baloushi will attend the pre-match press conference which will be held at 10 AM on Saturday at the conference hall of the club.
