Xavi: We got used to Ferreira quickly; Jaish have a strong attack

​Al-Sadd midfielder Xavi Hernandez has spoken about the importance of the upcoming Qatar Stars League Round 13 match against El Jaish. He said that the great spirit currently in the team will help the team to continue winning after a deserved win over Al-Rayyan in the last round.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Xavi said: “It will be a tough match and El Jaish have players of high quality, most prominent of which are the attacking trio of Hamdallah, Rashidov and Romarinho, in addition to the excellent defensive line. And so we need to be careful and work hard to get a win.”

As for his relationship with new coach Jesualdo Ferreira, Xavi said: “Ferreira is a great coach and he has a name for himself globally. Every player at Al-Sadd Club is happy to train under his leadership, and they have all gotten used to his playing style quickly. They carry out his commands in a professional manner, with regards to movment or looking at the strengths of the opponent. Ferreira has the ability and experience to lead Al-Sadd to more wins.”

As for the attendance at the Al-Rayyan game, Xavi said that the huge numbers of Al-Sadd fans delighted him and lifted the spirit of the players during the match. He expressed his hope that that they will not stop this level of attendance in the coming games.
