​Al-Sadd attacker Hamza al-Sanhaji has spoken of his delight after the 2-1 win over Al-Rayyan in the QSL Round 12 match played on Thursday night. He said that his happiness was doubled by his goal which opened the scoring.

Speaking to the club website, Hamza said: “I was surprised to be picked in the starting XI, but the coach talked to me before the match and emphasized on his trust in me and said that he had seen me in many matches before.”

The Al-Sadd attacker also said that the win would give the team a great motivation in the coming matches. He said: “The win is important and necessary; it will put the team in high spirits in the coming matches and will return its confidence. The win came after the effort of all the players and it was over a big team like Al-Rayyan, who are the league leaders.”
