In the presence of Mr. Nasser Mubarak al-Ali, Vice President of the Club, Al-Sadd football first team trained at the secondary pitch on Wednesday. It was the main preparatory training session for the Qatar Stars League Round 6 match against Al-Khor, which will be played at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium on Friday.
Al-Sadd go into the match sitting in second place in the league table, with 13 points coming from 4 wins and a draw. As for our opponents, Al-Khor are in 12th place after 4 defeats and a draw. The Wolves will look to keep up their winning run in order to get closer to top spot.
The session witnessed a lot of emphasis being given to tactical training and the execution of certain defensive and offensive strategies. The players who are likely to start the match were prioiritised, in addition to the search for a suitable replacement for the injured striker Muriqui.
Vice President attends session to support the team
Club Vice President Mr. Nasser Mubarak al-Ali attended the training session to support the team and motivate them to keep their winning run going.
46th anniversary of the founding of the club
The 21st of October marked 46 years since the founding of Al-Sadd Club in the year 1969.
Muriqui and al-Dosari absent from training
The team will miss the services of goalkeeper Saad al-Dosari and striker Muriqui after they were ruled out with injuries.
Amouta and Musab to attend press conference
The pre-match press conference will be held from 10 AM onwards at Conference Hall of the club on Thursday and it will be attended by head coach Hussein Amouta and defender Musab Khodr.
Match to kick off at 5:30 at JBH Stadium
The match between Al-Sadd and Al-Khor will kick off at 5:30 PM on Friday at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium of Al-Sadd Club, who needs the great support from its fans to get the win and the three points.
Final training session and squad list
Al-Sadd will hold its final training session from 5:30 PM onwards on Thursday after which Amouta will announce the list of probables for the match.
