​Qatar national Olympic football team coach Felix Sanchez has announced the preliminary squad ahead of preparation for the West Asian U23 Championship which begins on 30th September and runs until 14th October. The final squad will be announced on the 29th.

The training camp will be held at the Torch hotel, starting from the 25th and lasting until 29th of September. The first match for the national team will be against Palestine on the 30th, followed by their second against Jordan on the 3rd of October and the final group game against Yemen on 6th of October.

The national team includes four Al-Sadd players: Hamza al-Sanhaji, Saleh Bader, Musab Khodr and Muhannad Naim. These players will miss the next two QSL matches of Al-Sadd, which are against Al-Wakrah and Al-Ahli on the 27th of September and the 1st of October respectively.
