​The Al-Sadd football first team resumed training at 6:15 PM on Sunday evening​ at the secondary pitch after the rest day that followed the friendly defeat to Al-Kharaitiyat.
It was the last preseason friendly before the season kicks off. Al-Sadd will play their opening match of the 2015/16 Qatar Stars League against Mesaimeer on September 13.
The session on Sunday saw all the first team players take part, with the exception of the senior and Olympic national team players who are away on national duty. Brazilian striker Muriqui resumed training after taking two days off, while defender Ibrahim Majid also made a return to training after the end of his recuperation period in Spain, where he recovered following his ankle sugery. Striker Abdulaziz Ansari also made his first appearance at training.

The coaching staff ensured that the players warmed up well and were in shape, especially with the opening QSL match just 6 days away.
