In an exclusive chat with the official website of the club, Al-Sadd football first team head coach Hussein Amouta has spoken about the players, preseason training and the targets of the club ahead of the 2015/16 season.

Amouta said that the preparatory phase was progressing well and that he was delighted that with the return of Qatari internationals, which means that the team is now complete, helping achieve harmony and cohesion in the squad with less than two months to go before the season kicks off. Amouta considers the remaining time adequate for the team to be fully prepared.
The Moroccan also said that the team was aiming to get maximum benefit from the preparatory phase, which includes the current training programme in Doha and the upcoming foreign camp in the Austrian town of Kaprun. Amouta pointed out that the friendly matches were planned so that Al-Sadd players could make optimal use of the experience.
As for the targets of the club in the upcoming season, Amouta said that the primary objective was to reclaim the league title. He remains confident that his team is capable of the task, saying that Al-Sadd has the best Qatari players in the country. In addition to that, the team also has top foreign players led by the legend Xavi, who Amouta says will be an influential player on multiple levels.
When asked about the decision to maintain stability by retaining three foreign players, Amouta said that it was a great advantage. He talked about the experience of Nadir Belhadj and Lee Jung Soo, who have both completed five years in the team. Amouta also said that Muriqui had personally promised him to deliver a completely different performance next season, appearing at his best. As for Xavi, his extensive knowledge of the game would be a great boon to the Wolves and Qatari football in general.

Amouta signed off by hoping for good fortune in the coming season, as the team looks to fulfil the never-ending desire of the fans for silverware.
